I couldn't get traction with these tires. I was using some worn out Drag Radials that need a good burnout, but I am too afraid to stress the tranny. I have been debating whether or not to risk it just to hit 12s. I want 12s but not a fvcked up transmission.

Most people with GPs and this kind of power are able to get 1.7s with slicks and 1.8s with Drag Radials so I have a lot of room for improvement with this setup.

That's cool. I always wondered if anyone out there figured out a way to get these damm cv joints real strong. That I think is the weak link in FWD,more than the tranny.

That is wierd that you mentioned the cv joints. My friend who is also running low 13s has had problems with his cv boots about 5 times now in less than a year. I haven't had any, so maybe it is the burnouts that put alot of the stress on the cv joints?

GTP when was the video taken of your car? are those your most recent times?

Yep they were from 7/2/04 at Sacramento Raceway.
I got a 13.09 the week before and a 13.18 the week before that but that was with 2.0 60's

It was too hot and the tires I used this time were more worn down than the ones I used the last two weeks.

I need to get some tires that will let me get enough traction to get a 1.9s 60' without a burnout.

I am working on getting an IC made along with installing larger fuel injectors. Hopefully by fall when it will be cooler I can start cutting into the 12s.

I just so happened to watch your videos....both of them....and im wondering why the flag in the second video is at half staff? The last time the flag was at half staff was when President Regean died, which was about 2 weeks ago, or more, so im wondering, if this video was taken on 7/2, then why is the flag still at half mast?Try and explain your way out of this one.
