Another question...   Posted Tue Apr 16, 02   12:58 PM

I've got a friend of mine who runs an 87' Volkswagen Scirroco. He uses a old NOS dry system, and runs an old NOS bottle filled w/strait O2. Yes I said pure oxygen. He say's he gains tramendous torque and acceleration when he uses it to race. I am constantly trying to convince him of the dangers of this, but he says that the fact that the old NOS bottle foam packed into a cooler and and mounted in the center of the back section of his car will keep it safe. Anybody out there got any advice on what I could use to get him to take it out of his car? Thanx in advance.

P.S.: As a friend I don't want to be reading the papers and see the headlines: "Semi rearends small hatchback sending up a mushroom cloud." "Casualties: 1 toasted dumshit." Again, thanx in advance.

ive always wondered if it was possible to run straight o2. but to be honnest isnt liquid o2 non flamable. i know n2o2 is non volitle...but its the vaper of o2 that will exsplode. either way just tell him to keep nos in his car and the o2 for racing. thats my only advice.

I wouldn't be around even if it was being pulled behind it in a trailler. Thats is mad dangerous. I wouldn't even want to guess what kind of irrepairable damage is being done to the motor.
