Loss of traction could cause the car to loose time on the quarter mile if he had traction problems.

Yeah, but nowhere near that much. To lose what would be basically 3 seconds (a car that hits 135 in a quarter finishes 11 or less most times if it has traction) means the tires would likely be liquified during all the spinning.


It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
