Sentra Swap   Posted Mon Nov 21, 05   8:56 AM

What is a good swap for a '05 Sentra? I just got one and I just dont think the engine has enough power.

You could try swapping the SE-R motor into it, but I dont deal with Sentras for the reason you want to swap a motor into it- No balls.

about .7 L, 39 hp, and 46 lb-ft. Of course if you get the SE-R V spec engine it's another 10 hp and another 5 lb-ft. So, to review: Regular=1.8L 126 hp 129 lb-ft, SE-R=2.5L 165 hp 175 lb-ft, SE-R vspec=2.5L 175 hp 180 lb-ft. Then you have to start looking for parts.

175hp huh...sounds tempting but i'm starting to feel like I'm going to have to put too much money into this car I may sell it...I dunno how my dad would take that though.

Well, Nissans (outside of the Sylvias) can be a bit expensive to make fast, since they are either sparsely supported (like the Sentra) or just plain expensive (like the Z). But at least stick it out a while to save up for something better.

Yeah I guess so. The only Nissans that I actually like are the 300ZX and the Skylines' but I dont think I'll be getting a Skyline any time soon lol.

I'm hoping for a lottery win before the new one gets released here in 2007.

good luck with that. I think the Skyline's I liked were the 1994 GT-R's.

300 ZX turbo models are still expensive as all hell, and I dont really trust them that much with the mileage you will find on them either.

And most people don't know it was the 240z and not 240zx.

exactly. But there was the 260zx (datsun) and so people say 240zx (even that forza game did it).
