I am all about domestic cars...but if I had to pick a japense engine it would be a GSR Engine for da civic hatchback...now thats what I call a power rocket

k20a2 would make a better plant for any hatch.. just a matter of difficulty. its being done more and more.

GSR makes more HP then the base K20, not to mention its WAY easier to swap one in, and also way less expensive.If im gonna take the time and money to swap in a K series, then id just go with an F20C.

Favorite Japanese engine... Hmm... That's a tough one. Personally, I love the 4A-GE. The later model, 20V ones. Oh how fun it would be to have a 4A-GE at it's max... revving up to 13,000+ RPMs.

My second choice would probably be either a 2JZGTE or an RB26DETT. Both very nice engines. *yum yum*

My favourite but not fastest motor would be the Nissan ca18det.

Strong (excepting the stock head) mill and power is so easy to achieve.
