My Coupe is Dead...   Posted Tue Dec 31, 02   11:06 AM

hi all,

i think i'm trashing the bimmer coupe. i'll probably be getting a four door kgb lookin bavaria instead. better all around (lighter, more sturdy chassis, not as rust prone, more available, cheaper) but not as pretty. oh well...life goes on.

Single cams are overatted... I know a guy who's sittin in the mid 10's all motor on a Honda SOHC 1.5L.

I think you mean under rated. A SOHC can perform just as well as a DOHC, there is just more to overcome with friction from rocker arms, larger/stiffer valve springs, and larger/heavier valves. Most engines in drag racing are a single cam/2 valve per cylinder technology.
