1990 toyota corolla v.s 1998 mercury mystique   Posted Thu Nov 21, 02   3:59 PM

last night i was cruising around in my city. i came up onto some lights on western ave. and some kids pulled up next to me in a 1998 mercury mystique. they had some mods dont to it. there were 5 people in the car and just me by myself in my car. well i reved at them and they all looked over at me. when the light turned greed we both floored it. at first we stayed almost even, then getting up into the power-band in 1st gear i started to pull away a little bit. then i hit second and they were 3 car lenghts behind me. i ended up winning the race. i think i won because i had a weight advantage. just wanted to tell you about my kill

Hey, guys! Leave homeslice here alone! Those corolla's are pimp ass. Don't you know that with the right combination of t6/t9 hybrid turbo and type R stickers that a stock corolla will run mid to low 11's? What the hell is wrong with all of you?! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Hey, dawg, what all mods have ya got on your corollla?

I think that out here, you get given a Datto or a Corolla. They are...what I think and institution of growing up. You need a shitta for your first car and then progress on. but if you are like me you keep your shitta and mod it and move on when some one runs into you.

But my mate still has his Corolla and it goes hard for a 24 yr old car

I DON'T REALIZE? i fucking drive one!

it kicks ass. i wasn't being sarcastic. i housed an integra ls hatch off the line the other day. after staring him down in ricer style. i even have my hubcaps off to reveal my racing rims!

and a t6/t9 hybrid? are you on crack? that's a turbo the size of god that doesn't start to spool up until at least 5 grand on that small of an engine...

now, a t3/t4 hybrid would work well on the little 1.6.

then again, i drove the wifey's car to the store & block buster last night and oh my friggin god, it was fun. i got it to do a good 100yd long four wheel drift at about 15 degrees off of the direction i was travelling. it was beautiful...

it's such a fine sound when all four tires break loose and start gnashing on the pavement. I WANT MY OWN!

ello. haha yea my corolla a.k.a corollin' is bone stock. its a 1.6L dohc pushin 102 HP whoopie, and yea that mystique is a 2.0 that has 125 horse, but yea once again i have a major weight advandage, my car weighs less and then they had 4 more people in the car besides the driver. and for the douche bad talkin smack, they were racin punk. so take it down.

it's just funny to think of a merc grocery getter racing a corolla...

the corolla kicks ass though. is it an auto? mine is and it's fun as hell. tc is on it's last leg, so it's like having a high stall converter. it lugs through to about 3 grand then launches. and oh my god that car is fun to throw around the street. not enough inertia and weight to break traction too far, but it'll 4 wheel slide reallll well.
