B16 Ownage   Posted Tue Jan 20, 04   8:55 PM

Raced my buddy’s B16 swapped CRX tonight, and he got me. First and second I had him, RWD>FWD, but he pulled like a mofo on me and flew by.

welp sounds like it's time for a turbocharger ben. ever thought of that option? bolt it right onto your downpipe flange (modified of course) and weld up a simple aluminum plenum box to force feed your su's? then run a rrfpr so the fuel pressure rises to meet the boost (not to increase flow to the engine, but to offset the boost vs. the fuel seals in the carbs).

does your distributor have vacuum advance?

i'll bet a t3 would work, as they put it on 2.3 liter 4 cylinder ford merkurs...and turbo thunderchickens. and i have just such an airesearch unit sitting in my dad's shop up north.

haha ya im thinkin EG would be a better choice right now too.

haha yesterday this dude in a prelude, lowered, with those rota groupN rims (that nick has in his profile), was following my civic, when i was going to get lunch, he pulled up next to me and asked if i wanted to race... i just about shit my self i was laughing so hard. i just told him it wasnt my "real" car :-D

but if i had a B16 or B18..... it would be pretty real :-p
