cams the same... difference is the f-body lt1 had iron heads and the 'vette had aluminum heads... everything else was the same... gm just wanted the corvette to have a little over its f-bodies...

the LS1 'vette motors are all aluminum... thats only in the C5's tho... the LT1 was in the C4 'vettes... and yes... thats mainly the only difference... you get aluminum heads and about 25 horsepower... of course you also get the prestige of owning a corvette and the suspension and such is better

and as i said in the classified section i dont think its a stock engine... I guess if they had ram air type trans ams they might have had alloy heads? but if what you're sayin is true its just a normal firebird... the HiPo firechicken was the formula which had all of the performance options of the T/A without the trim and extra shit in the cabin...

I am not 100% on this, and if you feel the need to prove me wrong by citing information from GM, then go ahead... but i dont think the street-racers firebird that you have is stock...

i'm just sayin back when i was lookin for a LT1 i never saw a firebird with alloy heads... just coulda missed 'em or somethin... or maybe i'm thinkin of the L98... i dont know... i just only remember the 'vette havein the alloy heads... but like i said... i could very easily be wrong... i didnt look into the LT1 and L98 for very long...
