Hey what's up everybody, i'm new to this fourm and i have a question. My causins just gave me their olds 403 engine and i've been stuck because we want to get it to kick out 300+hp but the only problem is that it has to pass the smog. do you guys have any suggestions of what parts can help me achieve this.

shouldn't be to hard to get 300 from a 403. start off with a nice cam but keep it smogable. get in touch with Harold over at Ultra Dyne cams and he'll make you something that'll get the job done. second do a little bowl blending in the heads and get a decent intake with about a 750 cfm carb. you'll be limited by your compression but if you change that you won't pass the smog check.
