Why, what went wrong? If you use a good machine shop then it shouldn't be necessary. Any chance someone put assembly lube behind the bearings?

used a good machine shop the rod clearances were around 3 thousandths so we're getting those redone for free ofcourse machine shop screwed up so they're redoing them and always use plastiguage why you ask because machine shops can be wrong better safe than sorry. in a race engine no i would'nt because it'll be torn apart soon anyway but for a street engine i always would
