Hello Chris ,

one word difficult...the cops have gatso cameras everywhere here on the main dual carriageways etc...so cruisin is the in thing we block of large carparks and strip it , donuts etc all good fun, however we have broke the 150mph barrier on a few cruise convoys..NICE..things move very quick at these speeds..lol

The saving grace for us is small twisty back country roads we do long night runs when it's quiet at jaw dropping speed it is not for the faint hearted...

Small block turbo coupes are popular because of the lanes with good handling you dont get many big cc units mainly scoobys ,skylines ,cosworths and bimmers..2.0 t/3.0 twith big noisy dump valves is the trend..although i'm saving for a supercharger for mine to break the 300 bhp all rear wheel drive and not a traction control switch in site..

Well, I live in central California. There isn't a restriction on speakers, whatever you can afford drop it into your car:) The main thing in the states, especially in California, is vehicle emissions restrictions. It makes it very difficult to hop up the cars:( Not to mention we get jipped with the slow cars while you lucky brits get the good ones;)

I live in MIchigan were we don't have emission standards. You can pollute at much as you want since we don't have huge smog problems or anything. We can have speakers big enough to stop your heart, but you aren't allowed to just blast them on the street. We have a thing called noise pollution, we are also not allowed to have cars covered in neon and strobes (although you CAN in most other states).

I run a Mini-van that will out-run ferrari's in the quarter mile. or 400m for you.... I think. I had a Nessian 300ZX TT but sold it due to lack of money. I'm in the market for something else right now.... but something that I can afford to pay insurance for.

AS far as races go around here, DRAGRACING is the thing to do. Pull up next to someone at a red-light... wait for the green and hit it. OR you can set up races somewhere that is less populated. I personally also enjoy point to point races. Pick a starting place, pick an ending point and just drive. First one there wins. The place could be as close as the next town, or half a state away. It just depends on how much time and money you want to spend.

Streets are full of the Eruo thing (lights and such), but the guys who drive such cars often they are running SLOW low HP cars that they have just tried to make look good..... I have nothing against that, but I don't like that they claim them to be fast when they aren't. However you may run into a euro or jap car that can really move every now and again. The real movers on US streets around me are the high horsepower cars (usually american muscle).

please let me know if you have any questions. I'll try to make my answers LESS confusing that the above post.
