the earlier hemis were all none of the ones u mentioned they came out in the early 50's as smallish v8s and in our auto shop this year we had one in teachers new prject it was from 56 i think and it was a 354 and theres the 528 crate hemi

whats the C.O.D. course? and yah i think it would be cutlass with 470 not sure about dot dut most of the other fast card seem to be 383 strokers

OHH YA (HOOYEAH) THE COURSE IS HELD BY THE COD AUTO SHOP...MY FREIND WAS IN IT AND HE SAID THEY TEACH YOU EVERYTHING..AND THEY HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MACHINES. AND YOU CAN DO ALL YOUR MACHINE WORK FOR FREE ...HE SAID ITS MOSTLY LIKE 30 YR OLDS THOUGH..

oh, and if you count cars that are currently in my yard, i'll bet i've even got lethal beat. 530 cubes of international navistar straight six diesel. 880lb ft of torque. put the bitch in gear and it almost picks the drivers side front tire up off the ground.

using it to tow the crap to the junkyard.

427's are bad assed with the right components but they put out more rpm than power because of their realatively short stroke to bore ratio. Good for Flatties cause they wind out like a mothaf**ker.

I've got 557ci big block setting on a stand in my clean room fully assembled looking for trouble. Just in case one of you gearheads wanna check my numbers. The bore is 4.560, and the stroke is 4.250.

No, it can go bigger with another crank but it already has to much grunt. The motor actually twisted the engine mount plates and rails in the boat.
