or

The Judge has a pontiac 455 360hp engine and the charger has an ohv V-8 425hp

Well, according to what I found, the "General Lee" (1969 Charger with the 426 cid 425 hp engine) would run a 13.48 @ 109.0 mph whereas the Judge GTO (455 cid engine with 360 hp) would run a 14.76 @ 95.94 mph. So, there's your answer. The problem is that the GTO by 1970 was not meant to be a pure muscle car, but (and this is something that plagued the domestic car makers for years) a luxo-barge that could move in a hurry.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
