hay im in a class in school and my teacher gave me a motor and told me to find out what car it was in it is a 2.5 4 banger from gm so far i think it is a 90 lumina motor but i dont know so if u know of any cars that this would have been in then just put it will halp me out alot

get the numbers off of it and then run a search on vins. that should get you ALL the info on the car it was in.

The vin should be somewhere on the block, after you get it written down, then you can go somewhere like carfax and do a vin number search. or just find a site that will tell you how to read all that info that's on there. I think that may have been the instructor's idea to begin with, for you to use the vin to find out about the vehicle.

Which early mustangs, because the first gen (64.5-73) had a 2.8 (approx) L I6 as its smallest engine (which was only available in the 64.5 and 65). I don't think anything after that would be called "early". In 1974 however, they did come out with the "economy" Pinto based Mustang with a 2.3L 4.

yea it was the pinto i was thinking of, lol my friedn has a 2.3 l 4 banger mustang too lol, i own him in my camaro z28 v8 ls1, dyno tested 317 hp and 341 fpt

well, duh. that 2.3L had somewhere around 87 hp. Hell, a stock VW bug would have a chance of beating that.

it makes me sad to see an lx fox body to have an 4 banger, another wasted performance stang, would make a good sleeper with a turbo set up or something
