since you said you're new, and I'm here right now, welcome to the site. but unfortunately I don't have any real advice for a ford probe except maybe to start by seeing what kind of engine you could shoe horn in there (maybe a v8).

you can put a v8 in one but its a very very tight fit. you can keep the motor or rebuild or bore the one you got. throw a syspension on it then go with a nice turbo upgrade your fuel system ect..

nice advice five-0 but wouldnt u have to widen it a little to fit a v8 in a small ford?

not really. all you would haf to do is get a conversion kit. mounts, syspension. ect. but pull the motor to replace sparkplugs ect. if a 4.6 cobra motor can fit in a focus. a 5.0/4.6 can fit in it

A ford probe! hoyl crap havent seen one in years lol. but first thing dont go on outside till intior good and engine ok.! First get a turbo kit i think they run 200 and down. then change the stock oil with a good brand trusted for the probe not sure try valvoline.but then u prob want to lightin the car up so then u wanna change the seat out with some racin seat lighter and more confy:)! Then if its an old kinda car take out modeer, take it apart and clean every thing on it, should give about i dun know 5 more hp. if its realy dirty. Then get new exost sytem and then prob some fuel system to. get a new spark plug for shore make sure no leaks then work on inside with like, street glow and all that then get a ground evex kit and u should run great!

aww man, RICER ALERT, ground effects and a street glow kit, when all that's been done is turbo? put your money into the drivetrain until there is nothing left you can do (short of replacing the drivetrain and starting over) before you do that b.s. unless you want real racers to look down on you for caring more about the appearance of your car than the performance (especially the street glow).
