from what i hear AOD'S AOD-E'S are a p.o.s. now if you want overdrive the newer transmissions are better...but they take a lot of power away. best bet is a c6. thats my opinion. but then again i don't know shit.

Then I doubt it, the 5.0 is a small block and the 460 is a big block, I dont think the 460 would hook up to the trans from the 5.0, but that motor would definitly fit into the town car. That would be a great project, just like when Tim Allen put the 454 into a Impala.

yeah the ford AODs and AOD-E's are shit from the factory BUT you can make them bullet proof it is possible. then you have the joys of an auto with overdrive and it can take serious power
