Re: Woah!!   Posted Thu Apr 25, 02   12:54 AM

>>yah how bout a trans am what category are those in? and are they any fast ive seen a lotta vids on the net with em in there. i have no idea how fast they are, anyone know ? and how much is this so called stang gonna cost is it faster than the cobra? i'm confused is the bullit faster than anything? someone list all the different categorys of this car this is drivin me crazy!

Any LS1 is way underrated from the factory. From the factory they say there are 325 bhp. They are more like 320 at the wheels. They are way fast. They are tough to hook though and the rear end is shit, so you won't see a lot of guys run slicks on a stock LS1. You have to build up the rear first.

As far as Mustangs are concerned it goes like this. First you have the production Mustangs:
V6-190hp
GT-260hp
Bullit-285hp(Pretty conservative, I saw one run 13.4 stock)
Mach 1-300hp(Very conservative and will be released in October.)
Cobra-320hp, except in 2003 it will have 390hp(conservative figure, one dyno'd in at 360 to the wheels)
Cobra R-385hp, ran a 12.5

Aftermarket Stangs(produced from factory cars):
Saleen S281-285hp
Saleen S281-SC-365hp
Saleen S281-E-425hp(Conservative figure, runs 11's)
Saleen SR-505hp(This is a production race car. Very expensive, starting price is $150,000).

Roush Stage1-Base GT with a body kit
Roush Stage2-280hp
Roush Stage3-360hp(Conservative figure, has dyno'd at 350 to the wheels.)
Roush 360-R-360hp, no side-exit exhaust.

Kenny Brown - There are various packages available from Kenny Brown. One that just adds some suspension components all the way up to 800hp+ monsters. (Very Expensive)

Steeda - Same deal as Kenny Brown (Very expensive)

Boss - Same again as Steeda or Kenny Brown and also very expensive due to the extremely low production numbers.

yah the s7 is a totally new complete race vehicle it's like i don't knwo whata it's liek but it's not a stang i do believe it was all custom crafted and built for the sole purpose of endurance raceing and they only made a few for the street so they could race it but it is definately not a stang

I stood about 2.5" away from an S7 yesterday. Fucker sounded GOOD - best car at the ALMS race in terms of exhaust note, in my humble opinon.

And yeah, it's a purpose built racecar, idiot. Want to buy an autographed photo of it? Autographed by Johnny Mowlem, one of the two drivers.

And chad, what kind of racing did the porsches at that shop you worked for do? Pro SCCA?

Dudes,
There is a common misconception about that, first this is a very stock GT car which cannot be compared to the 400hp z06 which is nearing supercar quality in hp and trq. Secondly the numbers from ford on that car say 305 (that of course is a factory rating so it is probably about 320-330) the ford most comparable to the z06 is the Mustang SVT Cobra Roush R package, which (in Canada at least) has (as i have dynoed it) 415hp and with a few creature comforts taken out is a ten second car.

the GT is 280hp and the bullit is 300 flat fordfactor those are pre 40th aniversery numbers p.s did u make up the bullit numbers because if the pre 40th was your pattern that car wan't built yet.
