In Aussie land you have 3 main levels of licenses
"L's" Stand for lerner license. Which means you have to have some one with their full license in the car with you (approx 1 year or something) and you have 1 point on your L's

"p's" stand for provisional license. Which means you are allowed to drive by yourself (must have for 3 years)
then your full license. 6 points standard but if you do a course it gets bumped up to 8

Then with your full license you are given 12 points to last 3 years

if you loose to many points you loose your license

we got that kinda shit on Gran Turismo... he he

It changed a few years ago, but when I got my license, you got your learner's permit at 15, then you got your license at 16. Now there's all sortsa crazy rules and shit... have to have your learner's permit for so many months, can't drive anyone under a certain age past a certain time if you're under a certain age... it's all whack

actually it's a good thing less ricers on the road at 16 now they'll have to be older hopefully more mature ricers

Good point, but there's still plenty of non-ricers that have to wait untill 18 to drive, I know that woulda killed me when i was 16

over here i think you can have a provisional license from 16, then when youre 17 you get a full license. and about them stupid guys standing on the side of the road during a race, i mean, that is so dangerous. for example, has anyone here seen the bit on F&F, the first race, the 5 min, 1/4 mile one? well, when his floor board fell out, in reall life, it could have taken somebodys head off. around here we have all the ricers in vauxhall novas and vw golfs. i guess these are pretty much the equivelant of the honda civic in the U.S i really dont get ricers. trying to save up enough cash for a new wing or thinking they can get nos on their puny little 1.5 litre cars for £150. dumb.

it's only dangerous if the drivers don't know what they're doing i've stood 20 feet from the track at ihra ervents....and in real life floorboards don't fall out so thats not a concern

well, they might fall out if they were glued on by some stupid ricer? anyway, i cant wait for three years to come b4 i can drive. im kinda toying with the idea of riding a bike tho. my dad had a bike, and he came off on a patch of black ice when he was 16, so my mums not too keen. but, we'll see...
