Dean Florez dropped the idea like a hot rock , and officially amended the bill to only target cars "emitting visible smoke." For now, you people who have cars 30 yrs old or older are safe. I guess he was inundated by a whole bunch of phone calls, e-mails, and letters from people who are part of car clubs everywhere, including Jay Leno, who owns 30 or so classics himself.
