State Bill 708   Posted Thu Mar 13, 03   4:29 PM

New proposed state bill 708 intends to repeal smog exemption back to '55. Yep, that means you'd have to smog your '57 chevy.

the funniest part is that it is proposed by a rep in fresno, one of the hotbeds of go-fast activity in the central valley...

if it passes, what do you want to bet he ain't goin back to sacramento in the summer?

everyone needs to send an email to the reps of the state and tell them this is a bad idea and we won't support it, i heard about this about a month ago and have been getting some companies involved in the auto industry to write to them, everyone here ( in the state) should also write to them.

best way to do it is to send actual snail mail letters to not only your representative, but also to the various reps who are on the committees that review the bill prior to vote.
