Sounds like the buyer needs to go through a strict screening process in order to meet the chadwick approval rating... Yeah, that should sell.

god damn here i am defending chad again...

that gto is worth some bucks. it's not THAT bad, just doesn't look good when taken apart and stacked into a pile.

anyone who'd put a chibby engine in a poncho is a dick. bottom line. you want a donor car for your 454, get a '64 biscayne...right ls4? oh i forgot, you gots a caprice... either way, big fuggin car...chevy, thats the equation.

Yes and yes, very big. However, can you believe the new 745's weigh just about the same as my old sled? Mine weighs in at 4300 lbs and I think they are within 50 lbs of that, must be all the electrical. LOL
Wheres our new resident expert to confirm or deny this? C'mon coupe boy.

aw fuck now i pissed of mr chicken. doesn't he have a sbc in his quick67? maybe saying anyone who'd put a chevy in a poncho is a dick was a BIT much...if you've got both components already, i can understand the motivation ;-)

don't worry quik67, we'll get a little bbp fund going for you. hell if chad ponies up we can get you some wenzler heads! lol.

He'll get over it, at least it is a GM product transplant instead of a Chevy to Ford swap, I have a harder time with that. The Pontiacs make a lot of horsepower but no torque (or vice versa) compared to a Chevy so I could see why they would change out the motor. In Chadwicks case if the motor wasn't a maching number then I might swap it out for the 454 too. A buddy of ours had a '66 or '67 GTO with the Pontiac engine and it was running 11's and everyone at the track was surprised it was still a Pontiac motor.

Yea BlownGTP, but its a forgivable sin.....

Hey Uglystick, I like the Poncho fund idea... How about someone donating a 455 to the cause....

LS4 - It's Versa... The Pontiacs are Torque Monsters up to about 5K but you have to spin the chevy's for power. Unless of course your running a "Big ol' 454 nicely warmed up"
